How It All Started

For years I wanted to get involved in rocketry, but due to work commitments never found the time. Then one day a friend forced me to, by giving me a model rocket gift for a birthday. Here you can see me launching it for the very first time. That was it, I was hooked, 0 - 100mph in about a week.

For a while I carried on launching model rockets on family farmland, but then I started looking into UKRA and the local clubs.

I have now regularly attended clubs for a few years now. I am Level 3 RSO certified within UKRA and was the first rocketeer to take their Level 3 flight using an N motor in the UK in our famous Corpulent Stump rocket.

I found that during my take up of the hobby it was difficult to see what you were purchasing. The only time to actually see goods was at a vendors stall at a launch. I missed the opportunity to be able to see and touch things, so Rocket Store was born.
