What is HPR Certification?

UKRA run a High Powered Rocket Certification scheme. This scheme allows you to fly up to your qualified engine size with third party insurance. There are various levels within the scheme allowing you to fly different size engines from H through to M.

How do I get certified?

You will need to take the relevant certification flights and exams. Don't be alarmed, they arent brain surgery. As long as you have a reason level of flying and building rockets you will be fine. If not then read the bible of High Powered Rocketry and join a local club who will help you.

What advantages does certification give me?

The main reason is that it allows you to fly with insurance. The third party insurance which comes free with UKRA full membership means as long as you abide by the UKRA safety code you can fly with third party insurance.
