Why is your courier so expensive?

There are many couriers much cheaper than BusinessPost, the courier we use. However the other cheaper couriers will NOT deliver Dangerous Goods such as igniters, quickmatch and engines.

There is ONLY ONE courier left in the UK who delivers engines to residential properties, that's BusinessPost. TNT will deliver to business premises but NOT residential properties, NightFreight will deliver to residential properties but charge an additional fee. So as you can see, we try and get the best price possible from BusinessPost but we have absolutely no leverage to negotiate a better price. It costs what it costs, if this is too much then mail order rocketry is not for you.

Why cant you send engines by Royal Mail?

It is illegal for us to send dangerous goods in the standard mail. Dangerous goods must be handled by specialist couriers with insurance and hand sorting procedures.

Is your courier reliable?

99% of the time the courier does deliver parcels on time, however now and again a parcel is delayed. Sometimes this is due to their mistake, sometimes a customer gives us their postcode wrong, other times vans and lorries are involved in road traffic accidents. On rare occasions a parcel is lost. However we monitor all deliveries and we check that each parcel is delivered on time. If it is to be delayed then we will try and notify your by email or phone depending on the details we have for you.
