Everything you want to know about our shipping methods.
There are many couriers much cheaper than BusinessPost and TNT$, the
couriers we use. However the other cheaper couriers will NOT deliver Dangerous Goods
such as igniters, quickmatch and engines. To our knowledge BusinessPost and TNT are
the ONLY couriers to allow the dangerous goods we ship.
So as you can see, we try and get the best price possible from BusinessPost and
TNT but we have absolutely no leverage to negotiate a better price. It costs what
it costs, if this is too much then mail order rocketry is not for you.

Why cant you send motors/engines by Royal Mail?
Hazardous Goods have to be sent in accordance with the Carriage Dangerous Goods
act (CDG). This means they must be transported by drivers and companies that are
insured and have ADR trained drivers. Also there are specific sorting procedures
for dangerous goods that couriers must follow.
It is therefore illegal for any company to send Estes engines via Royal Mail or any courier
that does not support that particular hazardous good.

Is your courier reliable?
99% of the time the courier does deliver parcels on
time, however now and again a parcel is delayed. Sometimes this is due to
their mistake, sometimes a customer gives us their postcode wrong, other
times vans and lorries are involved in road traffic accidents. On rare
occasions a parcel is lost.
However we monitor all deliveries and we
check that each parcel is delivered on time. If it is to be delayed then
we will try and notify your by email or phone depending on the details we have
for you.

Which motors/engines can you ship?
Rocket Store is in a unique position as far as we are aware
in that we can ship all AP motors and accessories.
As a broad summary, we can currently ship Estes motors,
small Aerotech Single Use motors and most igniters and fuses via Business Post. We
ship all other explosives items via a special service offered by TNT
For more precise details, our website clearly states on each item if there
are any shipping restrictions.
