The United Kingdom Rocket Association (UKRA) are the central governing body for rocketeering in the UK. The UK Rocket Association have:

• produced documentation to attain Third Party Insurance through the BMFA, up to and including commercially available M-class rocket motors (individual insurance is subject to UKRA members attaining the relevant certification # level).

• devised and now maintain the Safety Code, HPR Certification Programme, Model Achievement Programme, Range Safety Officer Programme

The UKRA also do a lot of good work championing the hobby/sport and also have a good reputation with the Health & Safety Exec who are responsible for many of the laws regarding rocket motors and storage.

We strongly recommend that you join the UKRA if you can, it is well worth the money, just the insurance alone is worth it, but you will find yourself at meetings and able to talk rockets with other rocketeers. The UKRA also hold 2 major events each year KLob and the UKRA annual event. These are large events with hundreds of people attending and some spectacular rockets being launched. They are a must to see.
