Aerotech - CE Mark Approval Granted
Posted On: 16th February 2007

At last the day is hear. Aerotech have been granted CE approval on most of their engines. Warp 9 wasn't included but all other current engines were. Warp 9 is scheduled to be CE marked shortly. This is fantastic news for the UK and Europe.

We have been preparing behind the scenes for this for a long time. Many of the new engines although now CE marked have not been classified by the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Almost all the Blue Thunder ones are classified, most of the White Lightning but none of the Red Line. We are currently investigating the possible issues with Redline in the UK with Aerotech and HSE and hope to have that one sorted soon.

We are also in the process of getting HSE to classify the newer White Lightning motors that have come out over the last few years as these are not classified either. They were unable to do this until the CE mark had been granted.

All engines currently classified by HSE and also the additional ones we are currently in the process of getting classified with HSE are now loaded into our online store. Rocket Store have an Aerotech dealership and will be placing our first order with them very soon.

Although the prices we have placed on our website are we believe very appealing already, we are offering a further 10% discount for anyone who wishes to prepay for their engines. Aerotech produce an enormous range of engines and we believe it is going to be impossible to stock everything. So even if you arent prepaying we would welcome your feedback on what engines you would like to fly. However please note by registering your interest in an engine, we cannot guarantee to get it in the first order. The only way to guarantee the engine is to prepay.

We hope that very shortly we can build up a picture of what people like and want, and we can then store enough stock for everyone. We currently have an application for a 2 tonne explosive license in progress, so we are certainly planning for the future.

We also have a dealership with Rouse Tech and their entire range of motor casings have been added to our online store. Once we have a picture of which motors sell, we will keep a stock of the relevant cases in stock too.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding Aerotech.
